YOUTUBE IS TESTING HIDING DISLIKES ON THE VIDEOS

Video hosting service announced a change in the design of the "like" and "dislike" buttons.  YouTube reported that video creators regularly complain about the growth of audience antipathy due to the high number of dislikes - the service will try to hide this indicator.

The changes will affect only some users. The authors of the videos will continue to see the number of dislikes, but this information will be hidden for ordinary viewers.

YouTube will roll the innovation out in the next few weeks.

Users will still be able to react to the video and dislike. The difference is that no one except the creators of the videos will know about it. The statistics will be viewed in YouTube Studio.

Representatives of YouTube also noted that it was the authors of the videos who insisted on the innovation, since they are convinced that sometimes users deliberately attack them with dislikes. Which countries will take part in the experiment has not yet been announced. It is also known that if someone's account gets into the testing program with a change of the interface, it will be impossible to reject the updates.
