The UAE authorities intend to transfer a number of employees of the country to the shortened working week (4.5 days). We are talking about employees of federal government agencies, who will work according to the updated schedule from the beginning of the New Year.
From Monday to Thursday, business hours are expected to be set from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, and on Friday there will be a shortened working day - from 7:30 am to noon, according to the website of the local news agency WAM.
The reduction in working hours was proposed due to the desire of the authorities to maintain a balance between work and personal life of employees, as well as to improve the social well-being of employees and increase labor productivity.
It is worth noting that in the majority of Arab countries, the working days are set from Sunday to Thursday - Friday and Saturday, are the days off, as a rule.
The UAE believes that the transition to a new work schedule will allow better coordination of the country's activities with world markets, providing uninterrupted financial, trade and economic ties with other countries.
At the same time, it is expected that the change in the work schedule will allow not only to get closer to other states, but also add pleasant changes to the lifestyle of citizens and residents of the UAE.
