Russian Bar Association launched a project to support Russians abroad
The day before, it became known about the launch of a new project, the purpose of which is to protect the rights of Russians abroad.  Its introduction was announced by the head of the Russian Bar Association (RBA) Sergey Stepashin.  Assistance is planned to be provided by means of a specially created website and mobile application.

According to Stepashin, the current political situation in the world is inevitably reflected in the attitude towards Russians in different countries.

Fellow citizens face discrimination in Germany, Greece, the Netherlands and other countries.

This also applies to restrictions that are applied to Russians in the field of economic, social and even political rights.

As an example, the head of the RBA mentioned a case in which a man was denied medical assistance because he was Russian. He needed an operation to remove a brain tumor. The incident was reported in Finland.

Within the framework of the RBA’s project, it is planned to provide comprehensive assistance to Russian citizens who face Russophobic sentiments abroad. First of all, this will be expressed in legal support and assistance, the provision of free legal advice, Izvestia reports.

Stepashin recommended that compatriots who faced discrimination document such facts in as much detail as possible in order to subsequently be able to defend their rights in international courts. In preparing the necessary documents for the hearings, assistance can be provided within the framework of the project.
