The Ministry of Transport of Turkey announced an agreement with Moscow regarding the resumption of air communication between the countries. The flights will be resumed on July 15.
It is interesting that the representatives of the Russian Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency have so far refused to comment on the situation; Russian airlines have not officially responded to the statement of the Turkish side. But we should note that a few days before, the Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova reported on the negotiations over the resumption of flights between Russia and Turkey, but no results were announced.
We should remind our readers that the flights in all directions have been suspended in Russia on March 27 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Recently, the Turkish Airlines has published an official statement on its website, stating that the company resumes the flights to Russia from August 1. However, the Turkish authorities refrained from commenting on it.
