Participants of military operation in Ukraine proposed to be admitted to St Petersburg University without exams
The day before, St Petersburg University hosted a Rector's Council, which discussed the issues of providing assistance to participants in the military operation in Ukraine.  Among the measures announced were the organization of psychological assistance to arriving students, the collection of humanitarian supplies, as well as an initiative to enroll applicants who took part in a military operation without exams.

The report on the results of the meeting was published on the official website of the university. Among the decisions taken was the readiness of the staff of the Psychological Clinic of St. Petersburg State University to provide assistance to students who will be transferred to the city's universities from the DPR, LPR, and Ukraine.

It is assumed that such assistance will be provided out of turn, as well as in the order of individual counseling.

In addition, St Petersburg University has organized a program to collect humanitarian supplies to the attacked region. Everyone can take part in it, and the collected things are supposed to be transferred to the Red Cross.

Another measure was the initiative to provide participants in the military operation with the right to receive higher education on a preferential basis. The idea is to provide a certain category of applicants with a preferential right to enter St Petersburg University without exams, as well as the right to receive a second higher education free of charge.

Separately, it was noted that the initiative was supported by all participants of the meeting, and in the near future a letter from the rector with a corresponding proposal will be sent to the minister.
