Mandatory face mask regime lifted in Belarus
Despite the fact that the increase in the incidence of coronavirus continues in Belarus, the authorities decided to cancel the mandatory mask regime. Earlier Lukashenko stated that instead of fines there should be “‘personal responsibility’.
The Belarusian Ministry of Health canceled the face mask regime - now residents of the country are not required to wear masks in transport, on trains, airplanes and in social facilities.
A few days ago, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called for the abolition of fines for non-wearing of masks and stop forcing people to get vaccinated. He stressed out that ‘everyone should decide their own destiny’.
On September 20, Belarus announced the start of the fourth wave of coronavirus. Routine medical care has been suspended since October 18. Now a number of requirements have been canceled, including the restriction on the number of people visiting museums, libraries and exhibitions. What is more, there are no more restrictions on visiting dormitories in the country.
