Kislovodsk tourists were left without narzan due to environmental damage
The source of mineral water, located near the "Castle of treachery and love" on the north-western outskirts of Kislovodsk, was closed from tourists. Information about this was published by the press center of the city administration. The city authorities do not report any information about whether the healing spring will be opened and at what time.
It turned out that the healing water, which was appreciated by residents and guests of the city, was closed with a metal cap back in March 2022. The decision on this was made by the company "Kavminkurortresursy" at the insistence of the regional ministry responsible for the state of the environment.
Experts of the Ministry of Natural Resources found out that the narzan spilling from the source causes damage to the environment.
And while the residents of the city continue to make petitions to the city administration, demanding explanations, it is not possible to get close to the water. This, according to local experts, can lead to an outflow of tourists, for whom the source was a bright natural attraction.
The "Castle of Guile and Love" is a natural formation that arose from rocks – it looks like an old medieval fortress. Since 1939, tourists have been served here by a restaurant complex and a hotel building.
Guides told a tragic story about a poor shepherd and a princely daughter, and visitors tasted narzan.
Now, as social media users note, the authorities have deprived the city of one of its business cards. Those who visit the facility cannot taste the water from the source, and the city authorities require the management company to create treatment facilities. At the same time, no one can say exactly what the project of such cleaning systems will be, according to what technology they will be created.
It is reported that the mayor's office has already appealed to Senator Anatoly Artamonov with a request to help in resolving this issue. And although the letter was sent last week, there has been no response to it yet.
