A new service has been launched on the Gosuslugi portal, which allows you to find out if your passport is expired or forged. With the help of the service, it will be possible to find out whether the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a passport with such data and whether its validity has expired.
As noted in the Ministry of Finance, the new service will be useful on the eve of a transaction or the conclusion of a contract, or in another situation when it is necessary to establish the identity of a person.
To start the check, you need to open the service, enter the series and number of the identification document, last name and first name, click "Continue". The data is checked against the databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
If everything is in order with the identity document, the corresponding status will appear, as in case of delay or forgery of the passport.
In the event that the service fails to find a valid passport, it will be necessary to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs and clarify information about it.
