Housing in new buildings may become cheaper in Russia

The Public Council under the Ministry of Construction came up with an initiative to create a special automated service for developers in the country.  As conceived by the authors of the project, the innovation will reduce the cost of housing by 10-15%, which, as a result, will affect its final market price.

It is assumed that the advantage for developers will be expressed in a decrease in labor costs for obtaining various kinds of approvals and permits in the lending process. This year, it is planned to develop an appropriate aggregator, as well as a unified application form. The work will be carried out with the direct participation of both banks and experts, Izvestia reports.

The authors of the idea say that the new service will make it possible not only to apply for a loan to several banks at once, but will also eliminate a number of administrative problems.

For these purposes, the issue of the minimum required package of documents will be worked out for the formation of an application for obtaining borrowed funds in various credit institutions. It is also assumed that testing of the new product will be carried out in the regions.

According to Rifat Garipov, who is the chairman of the commission for project financing of the public council under the Ministry of Construction, the new instrument will also reduce the cost of housing. The proposed system can also contribute to an increase in competition between banks, which as a result, should have a favorable effect on the market.
