Free second higher education will become available in Russia
The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a list of professions that can be obtained on a free-of-charge basis in the event of having the first higher education. We are talking about creative professions - the corresponding document has already been approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The resolution
contains a list of professions that fall under the scope of the normative act, as well as the procedure for admitting applicants and specific universities participating in the program.
These are such professions as director, artistic director of the orchestra, composer, sound engineer, etc.
It is assumed that applicants applying for the free-of-charge education will have to compete, but they will not need to take the Unified State Exam.
Separately, it is noted that the innovation will not affect those who intend to get their first higher education. For these purposes, the number of free-of-charge places in specialized educational institutions has been increased.
10 leading Russian universities of the industry will take part in the new program. Among them, there are GITIS, the Moscow Art Theater School and the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music.
In the explanation to the document published on the website of the Government of the Russian Federation, it is said that the innovation was introduced due to the fact that people often comprehend creative professions at a more mature age, having a work experience different from the new occupation.
