The Embassy of Finland announced its intention to lift visa restrictions imposed earlier for Russian citizens. This should happen as early as July 1 of this year. We are talking, first of all, about anti-covid measures that have been in effect throughout the pandemic.
A message about the lifting of previously imposed bans was published on the official website of the country's embassy the day before.
Now, when entering Finland, you will no longer need certificates of vaccination against coronavirus, as well as negative PCR tests.
In addition, the lifting of entry restrictions additionally provoked the lifting of the ban on accepting visa applications from July 1.
Despite this, the embassy's message noted that due to the introduction of a number of sanctions measures, the application of a number of provisions of the agreement on simplified visa issuance by Russian citizens has been temporarily suspended. This means that there will be no return to the previous visa conditions for Russians yet. The restrictions primarily concern official Russian delegations in the fields of business and diplomacy.
The Russian Embassy in Finland noted that the Russian Federation will maintain the previously introduced anti-weed restrictions when crossing the Russian-Finnish border, RIA Novosti reports.
