Discounts have been announced in hotels in Egypt due to the "low" season

The difference in cost compared to the first months of the year is from a fifth to half of the price. The minimum price tags in June, compared with the end of spring, fell by an average of 35%.

In particular, we are talking about the Rixos hotel chain, also represented in Egypt. According to the managing director of the chain, the cost of hotel accommodation for a Russian tourist has decreased by 15-20%.

This happened both due to a somewhat sagging demand for holidays in the country from Russian tourists, and due to a significant reduction in flight programs.

The representative of the network noted that Rixos has never been focused specifically on the Russian tourist market, however, it values it, realizing that Russians themselves like to stay in hotels of the network.

In addition, the top manager stressed that Egypt is as comfortable in summer as in winter, and arguments about the heat are more of a stereotype, since the dry climate makes it easier to tolerate high temperatures.

Albatros, another hotel chain represented in Egypt, announced a reduction in the cost of accommodation by up to 50%. This is also due to a drop in demand and the desire to resume the previous indicators of attendance by Russian tourists. Previously, about 50% of tourists flew to the hotels of the chain from the Russian Federation, now this figure has decreased to 15-30%, the ATOR website says.
