Days from October 30 to November 7 may become non-working in Russia
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova appealed to President Vladimir Putin with a proposal to make the days from October 30 to November 7 non-working for all Russians. The epidemiological situation in the country is deteriorating.
At the same time, it was noted that in regions with especially depressing statistics, non-working days should be introduced as early as October 23. According to TASS, Golikova also advocated the opening of facilities from November 7 only by QR codes.
We should remind our readers that in honor of the Day of National Unity, Russians will have 4 days off in a row- from November 4 to 7. November 3 was previously announced as a shortened day.
Over the past day, 33,740 new cases of covid disease have been reported in Russia.
1,015 people have died - a new record since the start of the pandemic. Moscow (5700), St. Petersburg (3220) and Moscow region (2955) remain the leaders in morbidity.
It is already known that the initiative of Tatiana Golikova was supported by the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. He noted that such decisions are difficult, but forced and necessary. New restrictions will be required to stop the spread of the virus. The prime minister instructed Golikova to summarize all the proposals and present them at a meeting with Vladimir Putin, which will take place on Wednesday, October 20. Mishustin stressed out that the health care system is currently experiencing a serious load, and therefore it is necessary to act proactively.
