Russian Paralympic Committee intends to sue over missing Paralympic Games
Acting President of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) Pavel Rozhkov announced a possibility of filing a lawsuit due to Russia's absence at the Paralympic Games held this year in Beijing.  The purpose of the application can be compensation for both financial losses and moral damage caused to the organization and the team.

According to Rozhkov, the International Olympic Committee (IPC) has not yet provided a clear explanation.

As the reasons why the Russian team was not allowed to compete a day before the games started, concerns for safety and the microclimate were named.

At the same time, the team did not protest and calmly left the competition area.

Rozhkov noted that at the moment active consultations are being held with the lawyers on the issue of litigation initiation. The alleged lawsuit may be filed at the location of the IPC in Bonn, Germany, TASS reports.

The purpose of going to court is the desire to compensate for both financial losses and moral damage. Rozhkov separately indicated that a lot of money was spent on preparing for the competition, including doping testing and equipment coordination.

We should remind our readers that the IPC did not allow the Russian team to participate in the Paralympic Games, which were held in Beijing this year. The decision was made public on the eve of the competition and is related to the situation around Ukraine.
