RT IS SUING ALEXEI NAVALNY AND LYUBOV SOBOL

A lawsuit from the ANPO "TV-News", which is the founder of RT, was filed in the Moscow Arbitration Court. L.E. Sobol, A.A. Navalny and the editorial staff of the Znak news agency are mentioned as the defendants. The number of the case is A40-92670 / 2020.

The plaintiff demands a protection of his business reputation, since he believes that the investigation of Navalny on the promotion of viewing RT videos on YouTube insulted thousands of the employees of the company. The channel’s press service reported that the RT employees hourly risk their lives in the hotspots, while Navalny comments on their activities in a derogatory way.

For the moment, the proceedings on the lawsuit have not been started – the mistakes have been made in the statement.

The representatives of RT should correct the mistakes by July 6, adding, for example, information about the defendants.

We should note that the Znak agency stated that they did not know the exact reason for filing a lawsuit. The editors suggest that they were included in the case because of the quotes from Navalny’s investigation. The exact reason will be known after receiving the claim.
