NTV channel demands to unblock its YouTube profile
Clouds are gradually gathering over the YouTube service in Russia.  Government officials are beginning to urge Internet users to transfer video content to other platforms or install VPNs in order to continue watching their favorite shows.

The NTV channel found itself among the media affected by the actions taken by Google (the owner of the service).  The channel management first drew attention to the incorrect operation of YouTube back in 2020.  Then, the official address of the President of Russia, which the channel posted on YouTube, turned out to be inaccessible for 14 million subscribers of NTV.  However, the matter did not come to the issue of blocking, as the representatives of service explained what happened as an unfortunate misunderstanding.

This time everything is much more serious.  After Russia had launched a military special operation on the territory of Ukraine, the YouTube channels of a number of Russian TV channels were blocked.  Among them are the resources of the “Russia Today” media group: RIA Novosti, Moscow-24, RBC, Spuntik.
The resources of NTV also turned out to be out of reach for users from 70 countries of the world, including Europe.
At the same time, at the beginning of March, representatives of the TV channel did not receive any official messages about the complete blocking of tcontent.

Subsequently, the service announced a program for the mass removal of video broadcasts that “violate the policy” of the American company.  According to the @ruarbitr Telegram channel, now the NTV television company requires Google to pay a penalty in the amount of 100 thousand rubles for each day until the content is unblocked.

After the Duma TV channel, where Russian parliamentarians posted official content, was blocked on YouTube on April 9, the voices of those who advocate a complete blocking of the service began to sound more and more actively among Russian officials.  It is assumed that the state may declare the company extremist by analogy with how it was previously done with the brainchild of Mark Zuckerberg.
