Moscow Arbitration Court will consider Apple's claim against FAS
Apple Inc. filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Arbitration Court against the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS). The document has already been published on the court's website and is currently awaiting a procedural decision.
According to preliminary data, the dispute between the parties to the process arose on the basis of purchases in the App Store application, which does not contain a warning about alternative options for purchasing goods.
Moreover, according to the regulator of Apple, a ban on such information was introduced, which led to the initiation of a case.
Commenting on the essence of Apple's claims, a representative of the FAS indicated that the American company tried to dispute the warning issued to it several months ago, Forbes reports.
The document appeared due to a ban for application developers to inform buyers about other options for purchasing content on Apple devices, bypassing the official App store.
The company takes a commission for the purchase in the amount of up to 30%.
The deadline set by the Federal Antimonopoly Service to eliminate the detected violations was missed, and now Apple is about to face a large fine.
