INTEL COMPANY IS SUED OVER A PRIVACY BREACH
A class-action lawsuit was filed against Intel company by disgruntled users with the court of Orlando. The plaintiffs accuse the company of excessive analytics, which has been transferred to tracking the actions of specific users and violated the privacy boundaries.

Holly Launders was the first to apply to the court, but other applicants soon joined in. The plaintiffs believe Intel monitors the keystrokes of each individual user, which is outside the scope of conventional analytics.

Under the US law, such data collection methods are permitted only with the consent of the party.

The company was obliged to clarify to its customers what data had been tracked. The plaintiffs are confident that this is not only about standard analytics with the study of the number of visits, but also about the complex prohibited methods, including video recording of visits.

Experts note that the lawsuit against Intel may become a precedent in terms of analytics and data collection. The company itself does not specify in the confidentiality agreement, which data is being processed, using rather vague wordings.
