FSS of Vladimir accused a local resident of failure to report a crime
The Federal Security Service of the Vladimir Region got interested in a case of a man who, during an interrogation conducted last fall, hid information about his acquaintance's post on VKontakte social network from the investigation.  It was a text in support of the terrorist attack committed in France last October, when a teacher was killed by a radical Islamist.

The text of a resident of the Komi Republic appeared shortly after the incident.

The author's position boiled down to a positive assessment of the attacker's actions and justification of terrorism in general.

Such actions fall under the offense of ‘Public justification of terrorism’, and the Criminal Code of Russia establishes several types of responsibility for this, including imprisonment.

According to the investigation, the author of the post told his acquaintance about it in October this year, however, during the interrogation in November, a resident of the Vladimir region hid this information from the investigation, reports TASS.

In this regard, the man was accused of committing an act under the article ‘Failure to report a crime’.

Now he might face an imprisonment.

The author of the text turned out to be a resident of Central Asia; according to preliminary information, the man was detained and placed in a pre-trial detention center.
