Crimean wind parks go bankrupt and launch liquidation proceedings
On February 10, the Crimean Arbitration Court received insolvency claims from several companies that operate wind farms.  The Saksky and Prisivashsky wind parks registered in the village of Sovetsky, as well as the Stepnoy wind park in Feodosia, filed bankruptcy claims.

It is noted that all three firms were founded in 2011 and 2012, several years before the annexation of the territory of Crimea to the Russian Federation.  The main type of economic activity was the generation of electrical ‘green’ energy obtained from the wind generators.  In 2019, businessman Sergey Moskovsky became the beneficiary of all three organizations.

Experts paid attention to the difficulties associated with the development of wind power plants (WPP) in Crimea before.  Officials of the State Committee for Prices and Tariffs reported about the outdated equipment of many of them back in 2017.  The same problem concerned many private wind farms.
The lack of electricity that the Crimeans experienced forced the authorities to put up with the existence of unprofitable state enterprises and private companies.
However, after the launch of the Tavricheskaya and Balaklavskaya TPPs, the situation changed, and the problem of the development of ‘green’ energy faded into the background.

It is interesting that all three firms that filed for their own bankruptcy have begun the process of liquidation since the end of 2021.  Their owner also owned ‘Kerch’ wind park, which began bankruptcy proceedings in 2020.  At the moment, the organization is at the stage of winding up proceedings.
