A well-known Novosibirsk businessman Gorestov is driving his own companies to bankruptcy
Lawsuits for insolvency of several companies, owned by businessman Anton Gorestov, were filed with the Novosibirsk arbitration court. On January 24, the relevant information was made public on the Internet. And although the court has yet to decide whether to accept applications, the mass bankruptcy of firms that have successfully operated in the HoReCa market looks depressing.
Among them, there was an ‘Ahotels’ company, which managed a chain of hotels. The ‘Carlson’ company was also decided to be brought to bankruptcy - a family cafe near the metro station operated under its management. Bankruptcy status is claimed for by several other organizations, including the ‘Profit’ consulting company and the organization that operated the ‘Primetime Coffee’ chain of coffee houses in the Aura shopping center.
The total debt of organizations to creditors is about 100 million rubles.
Gorestov is the sole owner of three companies, and in the other two, part of the capital was registered with the companies themselves. These include, in particular, Primetime Food Balance. Previously, the businessman tried to develop the ‘Food Balance’ project through the organization, aimed at adherents of ‘healthy nutrition’.
The entrepreneur himself, who in 2009 became a co-founder of a well-known street food chain in the city, and in 2014 founded a chain of designer hotels, began his personal bankruptcy in the fall of 2021. Rusbankrot published a material about this case before. He announced personal debt in the amount of 15.6 million rubles. Now his case is handled by anti-crisis manager Alexander Ledvin.
Gorestov connects the bankruptcy of firms, as well as his own bankruptcy, with the pandemic, which had an extremely negative impact on the catering market and the hotel business.
The entrepreneur believes that the insolvency procedure will help him conclude the necessary agreements with creditors in order to civilly solve all the problems and develop further.
