The Moscow District Court of St. Petersburg issued a ruling in the case of a woman who filed a lawsuit against a hypermarket. The plaintiff demanded moral compensation for her injury.
The incident occurred on December 18, 2020 - in the Castorama store, located on Pulkovskoye Highway, the entrance doors crushed a woman's leg. She went to the doctors, who confirmed that the victim had a leg fracture. As a result, the woman had to put a cast and undergo a long rehabilitation.
In a pre-trial order, Castorama reimbursed the victim 170 thousand rubles.
This money was paid for medical services, necessary equipment and recovery after surgery. But soon the woman went to court to receive moral compensation.
The side of the Castorama store was against the lawsuit, because it believed that the funds allocated under the settlement agreement did not imply other payments. However, the court sided with the victim and ruled to pay another 100,000 rubles for non-pecuniary damage.
