The fame of actor Leonard Whiting and actress Olivia Hussey apparently began with the movie Romeo and Juliet, in which they starred in 1968. But unexpectedly, Whiting and Hussey filed a lawsuit against Paramount Pictures in the Superior Court of Santa Monica, California.

The lawsuit was filed by the cast of the 1968 film Romeo and Juliet, who allege that Paramount Pictures committed sexual harassment, fraud and intentional emotional harm. According to the Daily Mail, the lawsuit alleges that the couple was filmed naked without their knowledge when they were 15 and 16 at the time.

Hussey and Whiting revealed that the film's director, Franco Zeffirelli, first told them that there would be no nudity in the film.

However, on the last day of filming, they stated that the film would "fail" unless they shot naked in makeup.

“What they were told and what happened are two different things. They trusted Franco (director). At 16, being actors, they trusted that he would not break their trust," Tony Marinozzi, the actors' business manager, said in a statement.
