THE EX-HEAD OF THE NON-STATE PENSION FUND WAS ASKED NOT TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY
At the end of October, the Perm regional arbitration received an appeal from the non-state pension fund (NPF) "Strategy". The Foundation demanded to limit the possibility of leaving the Russian Federation to its ex-head Pyotr Pyankov (case no. A50-1575/2023). The reason for this was the restructuring of its debt introduced on October 9. Now it is estimated at 73.4 million rubles.

The claim for Pyankov's insolvency in January 2023 was filed by the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA), representing the interests of the fund as a bankruptcy trustee (CU). It was stated that the ex-head caused damage to the NPF in the amount of 67,899,039 rubles. 82 kopecks. It was this amount that was indicated in the Perm arbitration ruling of October 9, 2023 in the Pyankov insolvency case.

NPF was once considered one of the largest in the Perm Region. He received the status of bankrupt in early 2018. In the spring of 2016, the organization was stripped of its license, and its former head was accused of a major financial crime.

According to Kommersant, it was found that Pyankov stole assets worth over 220 million rubles from the fund. He was also prosecuted for money laundering in the amount of 150 million and illegal creation of legal entities. In 2018, the court handed down a verdict in a criminal case, sending the ex-head to a penal colony for 4 years and fining 2 million.

In September 2022, Pyankov became a person involved in a new trial. This time the court found him guilty of embezzlement of 1.7 million NPF funds. It was recognized that he committed the crime using his official position. The new sentence (2 years of imprisonment) was partially summed up with the previous one, and Pyankov was eventually sentenced to five years.

However, his misadventures did not end there. In August 2023, the court began to consider the petition of the convicted person. He asked to replace the part of the sentence that he has not yet served with a more lenient sentence. During the trial, it became clear that he was suspected of another crime.

A criminal case was opened in connection with the illegal actions incriminated to Pyankov. According to law enforcement agencies, he committed them in the process of bankruptcy of the NPF. It is known that from colony No. 11 in Nyrob, where the convict was, he was transferred to the pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Perm.
