THE PROSECUTOR GENERAL'S OFFICE DEMANDS ABOUT 170 BILLION FROM KHOTIN AND RUS-OIL
The Prosecutor General's Office appealed to the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow with a statement against entrepreneur Alexey Khotin. The hearing on the claim is scheduled for December 1, this is stated in the file of arbitration cases.
Previously, the businessman was one of the owners of Ugra Bank and the Russian independent oil company Rus-Oil. Now prosecutors want to recover about 170 billion rubles from Rus-Oil and its ex-head.
In addition, the lawsuit states the intention of the Prosecutor General's Office to convert the shares of NOC into Russian income. According to prosecutors, the Rus-Oil group of companies, namely the bankrupt organization Mayorskoye, which is part of it, caused damage to the state by 169.4 billion rubles. Thus, the NOC evades paying taxes on the extraction of minerals, on value added and on the profits of organizations. The insolvency of "Mayorsky" is allegedly used by Rus-Oil to legalize income obtained illegally, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.
Earlier, Khotin's bankruptcy suit was filed by Alfa-Bank, to which the entrepreneur's companies owed $ 690 million. After the revocation of the license from Ugra Bank, Alfa-Bank demanded early repayment of debts.
