RUSSIAN SCHOOLS MAY RETURN TO THE REMOTE LEARNING

The Federal Service for Consumer Protection and Human Welfare and the Russian Ministry of Education have developed a joint letter regarding the upcoming academic year in Russia.

In particular, the document states the necessity to be ready for the return of the remote learning in the event of an increase in the threat of the spread of COVID-19.

Moreover, it is recommended to use online learning when conducting various kinds of optional lessons and elective disciplines, if possible.

The letter also contains recommendations on holding the celebratory assemblies in the regional schools on September 1. It is proposed not to hold the school-wide activities, limiting them to the assemblies for each class or parallel. At the same time, parents of schoolchildren must wear protective face masks.

Other mass events in educational institutions are still banned due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus.

As for the previously published sanitary requirements of the Federal Service for Consumer Protection and Human Welfare for working child care facilities, they remain in force: the increased rates of disinfection, as well as control of sickness at the entrance – temperature measurements and health checks, are required for schools.
