Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova came up with a corresponding initiative.  Vladimir Putin supported the idea of   extending the validity of the codes from 6 months to 1 year.

To Golikova's proposal to extend the certificate for those who had been ill for up to a year, Putin replied ‘let us do it this way’. The President noted that each state can independently make such decisions, depending on the epidemiological situation.

Researchers believe that people who have had Covid-19 disease can be ‘conditionally protected’ for up to 1 year.

In addition, according to statistics, the rate of recurrence is rather low - 0.74%.  As reported by RIA Novosti, changes in QR codes should appear on the State Services in the near future.  The amendments will also be made to the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

We should remind our readers that the government is also discussing the issuance of codes for Russians who have recovered from COVID-19 but have not applied for medical help.  In addition, QR codes can be obtained by citizens vaccinated with foreign drugs outside the Russian Federation.
