The State Duma will consider a bill on wine tourism

A bill providing for the introduction of a new type of tourism — wine or enotourism - has been submitted to the lower house of Parliament for consideration. It involves providing tourists with the opportunity to visit wine production sites, take part in harvesting without making a profit from it, as well as the possibility of temporary accommodation and leisure activities.

It is separately noted that the right to conduct such activities will be granted only to those farms that have received a license for the production of wine products.

The main goal of the innovation is the versatile and stable development of small and medium—sized businesses engaged in this industry.

It is assumed that the bill will contribute to the comprehensive development of land occupied by vineyards. This list includes both the cultivation of grapes and the production of wine products, as well as the provision of tourist services.

The restriction related to who exactly can engage in such activities is established in order to prevent unscrupulous participants who, under the guise of enotourism, will be engaged in the usual accommodation of visitors and the organization of their leisure.
