Tax debts may begin to be collected without a trial
The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation is considering the legal possibility of collecting tax arrears from citizens out of court.  It is proposed to transfer such debts to the bailiffs for subsequent collection, but subject to a proviso.

The Supreme Court of Russia is developing an initiative to collect tax debts from individuals who are not individual entrepreneurs out of court. To implement this, it is assumed that the tax authority should make a decision on the debt collection and send it to the person.

If no objections are received from the citizen within a month, the debt is transferred to the bailiffs for subsequent work.

Thus, it is supposed, on the one hand, to solve the problem of the workload of the courts, which for the most part issue court orders on similar cases, and only a small part of them are contested. On the other hand, it is supposed to provide citizens with the opportunity to express disagreement with the decision of the inspection. If objections are received, the arrears case will be referred for judicial consideration, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

A similar procedure exists now, but a citizen has the right to send objections to an order issued against him by a magistrate.

In the absence of such, the order itself is already an executive document, according to which the collection is possible.

The initiative of the Supreme Court of Russia will free the justices of the peace from the flurry of essentially stereotyped and often indisputable cases, giving them the opportunity to deal with other issues.
