The coronavirus pandemic has greatly changed the plans of people all around the world. A few months ago it was difficult to believe in the closure of the state borders and the cancellation of the millions of flights.
Today it is a reality. The governments of all around the world urge people to stay home to protect their health and life.
The United States and the EU countries are currently the most affected by the pandemic. Almost a third of all the cases occur in the United States, but the maximum cumulative number of both cases and deaths from coronavirus is still in Europe.
Probably, the current situation prompted the French president to more decisive measures in the way of extending the regime of closing the borders of the Eurozone until October 31, 2020. Emanuel Macron announced this just before the closed conference with trade union representatives.
We should recall that a month ago, the entry into the Eurozone was closed in order to prevent the further spread of coronavirus. It was assumed that the regime would last until mid-April.
However, now, most likely, it has become clear to the authorities that the spread of coronavirus is not proceeding in the same way in different countries, and closing the borders for only a month will not to stabilize the situation, more drastic measures are needed.
