SUMMER RESIDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO MAKE FIRES

New rules concerning the incineration of garbage in garden plots were developed by the Russian Emergencies Ministry. They can come into force if they are approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.

The corresponding document appeared on the website of regulatory legal acts. The department proposes to change the rules of fire prevention regime. Now, paragraph 66 says that it is forbidden to make fires on the territories of private houses, to cook food on an open fire: only if it is a specifically equipped place.

The new documents propose to remove the phrase ‘make fires’.

In addition, the authors want to strike out the veto on the burning of garbage, dry wood, grass and leaves. Now this can be done only in certain places, which are coordinated with the administration of the municipality. Moreover, the fire should be at a distance of at least 50 meters away from the nearest building and 100 meters from the forest. If an iron barrel is used, then this distance can be reduced twofold, subject to the use of an iron cover and the presence of special extinguishing agents.

It is also possible that the ban on making fires for cooking, including barbecue, will be excluded from the rules.

At the moment, braziers can only be used at a distance of 5 meters from buildings.

Violators may face a fine of up to 5 thousand rubles, and in a special fire-prevention regime, it increases several times. For example, for legal entities, it can reach half a million rubles.

It is noteworthy that the current rules of the fire prevention regime came into force only on January 1 of this year. But their introduction led to mass dissatisfaction of summer residents and gardeners. Apparently, this is why they were reconsidered. The current legal act is valid until 2026, after which it will be reconsidered.
