State retail chains may appear in Russia
The rise in prices for a number of goods that are socially significant prompted the idea of   creation of retail chains that would have fixed prices and protect the population from unreasonable rise in prices.  The initiative was taken by Irina Volynets, who holds the position of Commissioner for Children's Rights in Tatarstan.

The official noted that at the moment there is a widespread and not in every case justified increase in the cost of goods.

To combat the problem that has arisen, it is proposed to create state trading chain designed to keep prices for socially significant goods at a certain level.

This should be applied to both food and non-food products, as well as children's products. Volynets believes that such a measure will make it possible to protect the population from unjustified overestimation of the cost of goods sold, at least for socially significant positions.

At the moment, the official’s appeal has already been sent to a number of relevant departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture. Next in line are the relevant committees of the lower house of parliament, RT reports.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Russia noted that the Cabinet of Ministers continues to work to reduce the negative impact of the sanctions imposed on the economy of our country. In his opinion, it is necessary to preserve the possibility of access of the population to necessary goods.
