RUSSIANS MIGHT START TO WORK REMOTELY

The amendments are planned to be adopted at the level of the Labor Code. If they pass, temporary remote work will be legalized. In other words, Russians will be able to combine work at the facility and work at home, depending on the circumstances. Legally, employees of organizations will be able to conclude an additional agreement to the employment contract, allowing them to perform their duties remotely. Moreover, it is noted that the agreement can be drawn up electronically, without a personal visit. What is more, this agreement should not affect the salary.

In fact, this initiative has existed for a long time, but it has gained particular relevance now, during the coronavirus pandemic. Deputies believe that the working only at the workplace or only remotely is an omission of the law, it is necessary to allow Russians to combine the activities.

In the nearest future, the document will be discussed by the representatives of the Ministry of Labor, as well as the trade unions and the employers' associations.
