Russian schoolchildren proposed to be checked for aggressiveness
The Government Commission for the Prevention of Offenses proposed to check all schoolchildren for aggressiveness. The idea arose in connection with the increasing incidence of attacks on educational institutions committed by students.
According to experts, teenagers have become more violent and aggressive, and over the past three years in Russia, there have been more than 50 cases of attempted attacks on schools. Moreover, most of them were prevented at the stage of preparation.
According to the initiators of the idea, control over teenagers and young people should be strengthened.
One of the methods of control can be sociological checks for aggressiveness and propensity to violence, reports
Izvestia.
In addition to the need for additional testing, it is recommended to increase the number of school psychologists. However, according to the doctor of medical sciences Andrei Shmilovich, psychologists are not able to solve the existing problem alone.
The specialist believes that in the current situation, a global reform of both children’s and teenage psychiatric services should be carried out.
Shmilovich noted that at the moment, there is only one psychiatric hospital in the multimillion Moscow alone, with only a few departments for children and adolescents.
At the same time, the initiative of the government commission is not limited to recommendations on expanding the staff of psychologists and testing children. It also includes ideas for enhancing educational moments in educational institutions and involving children in cultural and sports events.
