Russia is to introduce fines for incomplete information about goods
This summer, it is planned to consider a draft law amending the Code of Administrative Offenses. The document provides for the introduction of new fines for businesses for providing incorrect information about a product or its distortion.
We are talking about working with the National System of traceability of goods.
Commenting on the legislative intentions, the Ministry of Finance explained that under the new rule, the punishment can occur if false or incomplete information is provided, as well as if details are distorted, Izvestia reports.
The introduced liability will affect companies that are operators of electronic document management if they do not provide the necessary invoices, as well as transfer documents, which contain the numbers required for tracking.
The national system of traceability of goods is valid for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, which, in addition to Russia, includes Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Belarus. The agreement on the introduction of the mechanism was signed in 2019. In Russia, the system started working in the summer of 2021.
At the moment, the current legislation does not
provide for the proposed measure of responsibility, but this may change
soon. It is assumed that the amount of
the fine will be set at 1,000 rubles for each document.
