“United Russia" took the initiative to develop a new bill. The document should provide for responsibility for calls to refuse cooperation with Russian companies that have fallen under sanctions.
According to the official, indirect evidence of support for the sanctions imposed against Russian companies are the facts of following them.
We are talking about situations where the representatives of domestic business do not want to have business with organizations that have fallen under sanctions, explaining it by the fear of being on the sanctions lists.
Turchak considers such behaviour unacceptable and calls it betrayal. According to the politician, it is necessary to introduce responsibility for this, including criminal liability, and also to regard actions as following the sanctions of the West. The parliamentarian noted that competitors are also taking advantage of the current situation, inclining other companies not to work with organizations included in the sanctions lists.
Earlier, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted amendments to the law
establishing liability for calls for sanctions against Russia. Fines of up to 50,000 roubles are envisaged as punishment for individuals, and up to 500,000 roubles for legal entities. Repeated violations of the law may result in criminal liability.
