THIS DAY IN HISTORY:
22 November 1970 The city of Naberezhnye Chelny was renamed Brezhnev. The first name was returned to the city in 1988.1970 The US President John F. Kennedy was killed.1970 Abortions were allowed in the USSR in case pregnancy threatened the mother's life.
The chairman of the Public Chamber for Demography, Protection of the Family, Children and Traditional Family Values Sergei Rybalchenko announced a corresponding initiative. He noted that paternity capital can become a new universal way of supporting families.
As reported by RIA Novosti, the innovations have been proposed within the framework of the federal project “Country with many children”. It is assumed that paternity capital can become part of measures to support large families. Rybalchenko says that this is necessary, because about 40% of mothers with many children do not work - the entire burden of keeping the families falls on the shoulders of the fathers.
The official believes that the idea of paternity capital is urgent, since maternity capital has proven itself well.
In 2019, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, came up with a similar initiative. He stated that the fathers should be thanked, since they “share the burden of raising children” with their wives.
We should note that the idea of paternal capital has appeared more than once - the Ulyanovsk region will become a pilot region that will test this initiative. So far, the idea is being worked out - it is assumed that the project will support large families.
