MPs proposed to introduce a discount on transportation fare for citizens vaccinated against Covid-19
The State Duma received a proposal to provide a 50% discount on public transport fare to Russians who got vaccinated against Covid-19. The initiative will be considered by the Ministry of Labor.
According to RT, a representative of the State Duma Vasily Vlasov came up with the idea - a letter with a proposal was sent to the Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov. Vlasov believes that 50% discounts on travel tickets can stimulate the process of vaccination of citizens.
It is assumed that the discounts will be valid for six months from the date of vaccination.
The deputy noted that reduced tariffs could become an additional incentive for millions of Russians who regularly use public transportation. In addition, this measure will reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 in transport.
We should remind our readers that due to the increase in the incidence of coronavirus from October 30 to November 7, a non-working day regime was introduced in Russia. In a number of regions, in addition to limiting the activities of organizations, measures have been introduced to reduce the activity of public transport.
The day before, a new record was set in the Russian Federation for the number of infected people - 40,993 people per day.
1159 patients died, which is also a new anti-record. Moscow remains the leader - 7603 infected per day, and St. Petersburg (3597) and Moscow region (2737) follow it. Alexander Gorelov, the deputy head of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights, told Izvestia that the lockdown in Moscow could be extended if the prevalence rate of covid does not fall below 1.
