Ministry of Health urged to reduce the validity of QR codes
Sergei Tokarev, the chief external specialist of the Ministry of Health, announced the need to reduce the validity of QR codes to 6 months.  At the moment, the vaccination certificate is valid for a year.

According to TASS, the initiative is related to the varieties of coronavirus.  The current certification is valid for the less aggressive Wuhan strain, the antibodies of which could actually be kept in up to a year.  However, more pathogenic species of covid are now recorded, and therefore the duration of antibodies is approaching 6 months.
Tokarev stressed out that antibodies were kept in less than a year.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health stated that it was wrong to issue QR codes to Russians who have recovered at home and did not go to see the doctors.  The representatives of the department added that the World Health Organization adhered to the similar position.

Russians with low immunity were also urged to undergo revaccination after 6 months to avoid infection.

According to the latest data, 39,008 new patients have been recorded in the Russian Federation.  Moscow (5736), St. Petersburg (3066) and Moscow region (2893) are still in the lead.  At the same time, a new anti-record of mortality was updated - 1,178 deaths per day.
