Liberal Democratic Party called for a ban on the sale of vapes in Russia
The Liberal Democratic Party has developed a draft law banning the sale of vapes and liquid nicotine in the country.  The initiators of the innovation were several parliamentarians, including Sergei Leonov and Dmitry Svishchev.

The text of the bill was posted the day before by another author of the bill, Yaroslav Nilov, on his Telegram channel. In substantiating their position, the deputies noted that the number of vapes sold in Russia was constantly increasing. In 2020 alone, goods worth about 47 billion rubles were sold in this area.

The deputies expressed concern that this volume could increase significantly.

At the moment, there is a restriction on the sale of vapes in our country: they can only be sold in certain outlets. Despite this, the authors of the bill believe that such products have a negative impact, as they become the beginning of the formation of nicotine addiction. This primarily concerns the younger generation, who may be attracted to the design of smoking devices.

Earlier it was reported about the tragedy that took place in Biysk after the use of vape by teenagers. A 12-year-old boy died, and two of his friends ended up in the hospital. One of the victims was in critical condition and fell into a coma. The accident happened during an overnight stay of a brother and sister with their friend. Teenagers found a vape in the apartment and decided to smoke it. Arriving doctors took the girls to the hospital, but did not manage to save the boy, Biysk Rabochiy reports.
