Covid vaccination certificates may be supplemented with photos
The Ministry of Digital Science is discussing the possibility of supplementing vaccination certificates with photographs.  Considering that soon QR codes can be introduced everywhere, the presence of photos on the documents will shorten the queues at check.

As Izvestia reports, the initiative is being considered in order to make the passage through QR codes faster and more convenient.  It is assumed that if a photo appears on the certificate, it will be possible not to show the passport when checking.

At the moment, the code is issued by the State Services - it does not contain personal data, only initials.  For this reason, the certificate must be verified with the passport.  However, the authors of the idea believe that if the photo is added, this will unnecessary.
Perhaps the certificate will contain a photo of the user from the State Services, i.e. his or her selfie.
Among other possible options, there is a photo from the Unified Biometric System.  The media outlet notes that some of the departments are already considering the issue of dealing with future queues.  Other suggestions include checking codes when buying plane and train tickets.

We should remind our readers that on November 12, a bill was introduced to the State Duma, according to which QR codes in Russia can be introduced in non-food stores, restaurants, mass events, as well as for using railway and air transport.  It is assumed that the measures will be in effect from February 1 to June 1, 2022.
