The representatives of Russia and Bulgaria are currently discussing a possibility of resumption of the air traffic between the countries. The Bulgarian side noted that the opening of the borders was a matter of "negotiations and desire".
The Bulgarian authorities have already announced their readiness to resume flights to Russia. Now there is an active discussion on how this will happen, since a response from the Russian side is needed.
International flights from Bulgaria are not restricted in any way. However, there is a restriction on the entry into the country due to the pandemic.
According to TASS, Bulgarian tourism has been seriously affected due to the measures taken. Rehabilitation of the industry requires opening the borders and restoring the freedom of movement.
