WESTFALIKA SHOE STORES LIQUIDATED IN KIROV
The Westfalika brand has removed all retail outlets from Kirov.  As it turned out, the reason for such a decision was the anti-crisis program to close stores with low profitability.  The Novosibirsk company OR GROUP, which owns the trademark, announced its intention to improve the quality indicators of the work of individual trade pavilions, hoping thereby to increase the revenue of those who continue to work.

The chain of shoe stores Westfalika is widely represented throughout the country.  There are about 450 outlets in Russia.  In addition, 176 stores were opened on the basis of a commercial concession.  However, the OR GROUP holding itself has not been in the best financial condition lately.

In early February, Rusbankrot already wrote about the technical default that the OR company made on a package of bonds worth more than half a billion rubles.
The company lacked a little more than 9.7 million rubles to pay the obligations.
The company is part of the OR GROUP and, despite the fact that the company is considered a backbone company in the light industry, the management now has to quickly negotiate debt settlement with credit institutions.  Within the framework of the restructuring program the company, apparently, decided to liquidate some of the outlets, starting with the Kirov stores.

Currently, there are 8 issues of OR GROUP bonds in circulation on the Moscow Exchange in the amount of 4.75 billion rubles.  Whether the closure of low-margin stores will lead to successful results will become clear soon.  However, the company itself hopes for help from the state.  According to a number of experts, the exit of a number of foreign shoe brands from the Russian market may have a positive effect on the company's work, thereby reducing the level of competition.
