THE VODKA MANUFACTURER HAS FILED FOR LIQUIDATION
The producer of the Baikal and Nerpa vodka brands decided to self-destruct. On December 11, 2024, information about the plans of the Alcohol Production Company appeared on the Fedresurs portal.
The decision to liquidate followed after in August 2024, the Moscow Arbitration Court (the Arbitration Court of the city of Moscow) seized the assets of the "Alcohol Production Company" in the amount of over 6.8 billion rubles. The lawsuit was initiated by Ulyanovsk tax authorities. So far, the case has been suspended. Alfa Lux was invited to participate in the process. The tax authorities had previously tried to recover 4.3 billion from it. Experts suggest that the fiscal authorities want to transfer this debt to an "Alcohol production Company.»

The company entered the top 10 manufacturers, taking 9th place in the Russian Federation. The volume of revenue received increased by 17% compared to 2022, amounting to 4.5 billion rubles. The profit also increased by 10%, reaching 12 million.
The current situation raises questions about the future of vodka brands. Experts note that the decision to liquidate a legal entity is a way to minimize further financial losses. But it is possible that this will have an impact on the alcohol market in the country.
