THE SCANDALOUS CHELYABINSK DEVELOPER WAS DECLARED BANKRUPT
The Chelyabinsk arbitration court recognized the bankruptcy of the StroyTransOyuz company. The initiator of the bankruptcy was previously the organization itself. In June 2023, the developer came under surveillance. Now the organization has introduced a bankruptcy procedure.
In March 2023, Rusbankrot reported on the developer's plans to begin insolvency proceedings. The message about this was posted on the website of Fedresurs by the then owner and head of the company, Ravkat Azamatov. His son and co-owner of the business, who held the position of director of the organization, received a four-year sentence in October 2022 for embezzlement of money from the state budget.
StroyTransOyuz participated in the construction of the Zlatoust sports center. The investigators managed to prove that the head of the enterprise stole over 39 million rubles. To do this, they were informed of deliberately unreliable information about materials and equipment used. The amount of damage (38.8 million) was recovered from him by a court decision.
Another criminal case was initiated against a group of people who stole money from the treasury. This happened during the construction of the short track center. In addition to Azamatov, who was accused of embezzlement, former deputy Minister Tatyana Antonova and former head of the Regional state-owned institution Cheliaboblinveststroy Alexey Abaimov were charged.
Scandals related to the personality of the head had a negative impact on the fate of the organization itself. In the spring of 2023, the company was fined in connection with the failure of the contract concluded with the local authorities. The developer has not completed the construction of a kindergarten in Kopeysk by a pre-agreed deadline.
As a result, the organization, which received about 1.87 billion from the state under various contracts over the years of work in the region, was declared bankrupt. The term of bankruptcy proceedings is calculated for the period up to April 1, 2025.
