THE TAX AUTHORITIES WILL BANKRUPT A METALLURGICAL COMPANY FROM CHELYABINSK FOR THE SECOND TIME
The arbitration of the Chelyabinsk Region received a claim from the tax authorities (MIFNS No. 10). In it, they demand to recognize the company "Promtsvetmet" as insolvent. According to the court file, the firm owed the state budget about 66 million rubles. The application has already been accepted for consideration (case no. A76-34576/2022).

The Promtsvetmet company operates in the metal ore mining and metals trading market. The organization is registered in the city of Kopeysk. The company's capital is equally divided between the firm "Asia Metal Group B.V." from the Netherlands and the entrepreneur Alexander Berdnikov. In 2012, the co-owner of the company was nominated to the Chelyabinsk Duma from the party "Cities of Russia", but could not get the necessary number of votes.

Attempts by tax authorities to recognize companies as bankrupt have been made before. In March 2022, the Federal Tax Service already tried to initiate a process against the company. Then the amount of debt in 64.7 million rubles appeared in the lawsuit.

The company was saved from the start of the trial by a government moratorium established in 2020. The organization fell into the category of firms that were protected from bankruptcy in connection with the OKVED category specified in the registration documents.

This time, tax inspectors demand more than 65.8 million rubles from the company. The amount of the debt includes 27.8 million rubles of penalties. Penalties amounted to 6.7 million rubles. The court hearing on the claim of the Federal Tax Service is scheduled for November 28, 2022.
