The owner of the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant is driven to bankruptcy by power company
The publication about the intention of the Uralenergosbyt company to declare the insolvency of the CTP- Uraltruck company has been recently published on the Fedresurs website. The company, which rules the legendary enterprise of Chelyabinsk, has accumulated debts for electricity in the amount of over 272.4 million rubles.
The company's bank accounts are currently under arrest, and from September 27, the supply of electricity should be suspended to the level of emergency reservation. This means that the supplier is obliged to supply the electricity necessary for the operation of the alarms, fire extinguishing equipment and emergency ventilation.
The CTP- Uraltruck company states that they are negotiating with the supplier, and the debts will be repaid. Whether the case will go to court or not will be clear in the nearest future. Earlier, the company had already agreed with Uralenergosbyt on payment by installments and debt restructuring, taking into account the social status of the organization. However, in August, the payment schedule was disrupted again.
Power company notes that Chelyabinsk enterprises managed to accumulate debts for electricity for 1.4 billion rubles. At the same time, the tractor plant is in the first place in the register of defaulters.
Experts have been discussing the possible bankruptcy of the plant for several years already. In 2017, Vadim Andreev initiated the bankruptcy of the plant, demanding 6 million rubles from the company. Later, ATI Trading House and Alfa-Metal filed similar claims to the arbitration. The court even had to combine all claims in one case.
The plant is under the control of NPK Uralvagonzavod, which is owned by Rostec. In 2019, according to experts, creditors demanded more than 1 billion rubles from the plant in courts. At the same time, the program adopted by the company aimed at financial recovery, in fact, has not been launched due to the economic instability and a pandemic.
