The company that took one million loan from Yaroslavl declares bankruptcy
A notorious company from Yaroslavl that sold artesian drinking water to citizens announced insolvency. Having received one million rubles as a loan from the city-owned Yaroslavl Energy Systems JSC 7 in 2020, the ‘Health spring’ company ultimately could not pay it off until the end of 2021. As a result, the firm's claim, indicating its own bankruptcy, has been sent to arbitration court.
The scandal around the ‘Health spring’ company dates back to 2019. Then the city administration was engaged in the approval of places for the placement of stalls. As a result, by 2020, 27 outlets were agreed upon at the initiative of a private enterprise. After local deputies had learned about the friendly relations of the mayor of city with the founders of the company, many began to ask about the presence of a corruption component in the actions of the mayor.
In addition to the favorable placement of the stalls selling drinking water, in 2020, the company received a 7-million rubles loan from the Yaroslavl Energy Systems enterprise.
As noted by the ‘76.ru’ media outlet, the head of the creditor company had to make excuses to the local deputies, pointing out the profitability of the enterprise and the presence of pledged property.
As a result, it turned out that the stalls turned out to be the above mentioned pledged property (21 units) and a used Nissan Terrano car, which the ‘Health spring’ acquired in 2019, as well as a cargo van and a water treatment plant. All pledged property was valued at almost 14 million rubles. However, the water company almost immediately suspended payments, which resulted in a debt collection claim filed with the arbitration court.
The subsequent arrest, imposed in the amount of 7.481 million rubles on August 19, led to the conclusion of an amicable agreement. The arrest failed to be challenged, and the ‘Health spring’ pledged to pay the debt, including interest, by the end of 2021. However, the municipality did not get the money.
The administration of Yaroslavl told local journalists that the bankruptcy of the company was initiated in connection with the change of the head of the region.
Under these conditions, the mayor no longer makes sense to cover up the previous activities of the ‘Health spring’ firm. Most likely, the company will be declared bankrupt, and the municipal enterprise that issued the loan will receive a used car and water stalls, which will have to be sold to someone.
