Atrium nightclub, which has been operating in Tambov for over a decade, announced its closure. The city's only entertainment establishment was unable to survive the consequences of the restrictive measures introduced due to the pandemic.
The organizers planned the farewell marathon for June 11-13 - the club's management decided to leave the market after a memorable event, having gathered a farewell party.
Sources note that the organization found it difficult to maintain financial stability over the past year.
The club, located on Enthusiasts Boulevard, continued to operate even when many catering establishments were closed in the city.
Experts call the largest dance floor of the city a unique recreation place for the young people of Tambov. The club was known not only as a place where pop stars came to perform, but also as a venue with many entertainment areas for visitors.
In 2020, the regional authorities completely canceled all entertainment events in the city. After the anti-epidemic measures had been eased up, the club gradually began to work. First, the Atrium received visitors until 23-00, later the opening hours of the institution were extended until 1 a.m.
However, the decree of the regional authorities, prohibiting such institutions from working after 3 a.m. is still in effect.
In such conditions, the management of the club preferred to completely terminate the activities.
