The company from Saratov, which until recently employed over a thousand people, has moved to bankruptcy proceedings. The Arbitration Court introduced a monitoring procedure in LLC "ZAIT" ("Plant of autonomous power sources").

It is planned to appoint a representative of the St. Petersburg Association of arbitration Managers "Orion" as interim manager. The SRO was determined by random sampling.

In May 2022, Rusbankrot already covered the possible bankruptcy of the company. At first, the Metallon company made an attempt to declare the plant insolvent, to which the organization owed 17.5 million. Some time later, the Kazan company "Hirti" filed a claim to arbitration, the debt to which was 8.5 million.

However, the government moratorium prevented the launch of a lawsuit against the plant in the spring or summer of 2022. As a result, the company itself shared its plans to file for bankruptcy in September on the Fedresurs portal. On October 6, the claim from the AIT Plant was submitted to the Saratov arbitration. The firm, thus, was ahead of its creditor (the company "Hirti"), which only on October 10 re-published an important message about its plans for Fedresurs.

The amount of more than 1 billion rubles was indicated by the plant as the basis for applying to the court. In order to be able to assess the scale of the debt, it is enough to recall that the revenue volume of ZAIT in 2021 amounted to 1.487 billion, and the net loss was more than 152 million.

From 2016 to 2021, the plant was part of the LocoTech group of companies. At the same time, half of the share belonged to TD "LocoTech", and the other half belonged to entrepreneur Valentina Bondareva. However, in the summer of 2021, a subsidiary of Transmashholding (TMH-Energy Solutions) became a co-owner of the plant, replacing LocoTech.

It is curious that changes also took place in the structure of TMX-Energy Solutions in the spring of 2022. The beneficiary with a 25% stake was Rusatom Overseas, representing the state corporation Rosatom. The appearance of such an owner served as a basis for the employees of ZAIT to hope that the company would receive new orders, and jobs would be saved. However, the reality turned out to be somewhat different.

Apparently, cuts have begun at the plant. One of the lawsuits filed by the head of the Board of Directors Alexander Yezhov in court was caused by the decision to liquidate the factory accounting department and the subsequent outsourcing of accounting services. The decision itself was signed at the end of June. Later, Yezhov appealed to the speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin with a request to intervene in the fate of the plant and help the company get out of a difficult financial situation.
